In order to create NirvanZ Ragnarok as we wanted, we decided to focus first on creating a powerful editor that finally came to earn a name of its own. NirvanZ Game Engine is a powerful and intuitive drag-and-drop 2D game creator.

Thanks to NirvanZ Game Engine you will be able to create new game levels, characters, weapons, vehicles or cutscenes, your own DLCsMods or Expansion games, and even full games, with no programming knowledge required, and distribute them for free to the entire NirvanZ community or sell them for profit. Your creations can even be chosen to be included in our official catalogue.

At the moment, NirvanZ Game Engine will be sold separately, but remember that if we manage to reach our goals thanks to your contributions, we will include NirvanZ Game Engine for free along with the main game.
And for all those who get both the main game and NirvanZ Game Engine, we will include all the original game files inside the editor, so that you can modify them as you please.

NirvanZ Game Engine works using 3 connected interfaces, that you can use separatedlly, depending on your needs or mix them together to create all sort of games:

GAME COMPILER

Used for creating standalone Full Games or Expansion Games and export them for other people to play. Among other options and funtionalities, inside the Game Compiler you will find the following main editors:

Game menus creator: Create the game menus, from the main menu to in-game customized menus, final credits, achievements, language selectors, image galleries, load/save menus, documentation, etc…

Route Map Editor: Load a background and set all the necessary waypoints for your game. Lock and unlock locations, define main routes and secondary missions, save points, settlements, cutscenes triggers, fast travel points, etc… You can also set regions, zones, sectors and add effects as fog of war, weather events, music, etc… The editor even let you define several depths, so you can create sub-levels (main regions that led to a new smaller map, locations made of differents buildings that need to be completed in order to flag the whole mission as completed, etc…).

MISSIONS CREATOR

Used for creating missions (story, challenges, battles, tournaments, hunts, raids, rescue, etc…) and save them in your library to be used in the Game Compiler or export them and share them with the community or sell them in our marketplace. Among other options and funtionalities, inside the Missions Creator interface you will find the following editors:

Dialogs Editor: Write text, set formatting styles for each character, customize names, images and create full animated dialogs, dialog options and story branches to show before and/or after battle, or even trigger some dialog events activated by specific combat tiles, objects, character’s death or mission events, etc..

Combats Editor: Load a location, cutscenes and some characters and set up all the battle options, such as victory/defeat conditions, rewards, time limits, special triggers or items and set enemies or make them appear randomly, and many other options. You can also define the type of mission or set them as multipurpose (campaign, hunt, rescue, scavenge raid, etc).

ASSETS CREATOR

Used for creating all the different unique assets that you will load into the main engine or for creating and exporting individual assets and share them with the community or sell them in our marketplace. Among other options and funtionalities, inside the Assets Creator interface you will find the following editors:

Locations Editor: Create your own combat maps by setting the number of tiles and building the combat grid over your own backgrounds or by thoses created by other users. Once the grid has been set up, you can assign customized attributes for each tile (walkable, wall, obstacle, protection, triggers, life-draining, bulletproof, hole, searchable, etc…)

Cutscenes Editor: Using a layered time line interface, you will be able to create animated cutscenes and trigger them before and/or after battle or whenever you want during battles using triggers. You can even create and export short movies and share them with the community, showing your creations at every in-game survivor or zombie settlement.

Characters Editor:  Thanks to a powerful and easy-to-use interface, you can create your own characters, fully customizables, interacting with every single body part. Use hundreds of body pieces from the main library, download free assets, buy body parts or full characters from other users o even create your own assets using any drawing software and load them up into the editor. And once you finish creating your characters, use them in the main game or share them with the community for free or sell them for profit.

Animations Editor: Using a skeletal animation pivoting points system you will be able to modify or create new animations for your characters, objects or special effects (fire, smoke, rain). So, if you want to create a new kind of hypno-gun that makes the enemies to tap dance until they collapse, or you want to create a new type of red ice that burst into butterflies, you will be able to create it and animate it using this editor.

Objects Editor: With this editor you can modify or create furniture, items, weapons, gear, clothes, doors, food, or every object you can think of. Using a layered interface, you will be able to edit different layers, assign customized parameters such as trigger points, searchables areas, if the object is walkable or not, if it provides protection against bullets, fire or other dangers, etc…

Database Editor: Using a beautiful and powerful interface, you will be able to manage and edit all the technical properties of objects, combat modifiers, inventories, character’s habilities, skill trees, time-based events, and every other aspect of the game.
